Congratulations to the Burgess Hill Concert Orchestra, who performed my new edition of the Hely-Hutchinson Carol Symphony on Saturday night to a comfortably full audience at the newly refurbished St. Andrew's church in Burgess Hill.
I had been eagerly awaiting hearing the music being played live and wasn't at all disappointed. It's great to see a group of such professional players, who have never played this piece together before, spend 30 minutes having a run-through in the afternoon, then with the added electricity of "the moment" put on a magical, sparkling performance in the evening. The next chance to hear this fabulous piece is on Saturday 19th December 2015 at the Assembly Hall in Worthing, with the Worthing Philharmonic Orchestra. www.worthingphil.com
